Ruto: Leave President and Face me

“Everyone knows the people who are considered my main competitors. I want to tell them to leave President Uhuru Kenyatta alone.  We helped get the president get into office but right now all these individuals are hovering around him asking him for help in planning for next year,” Ruto said.

United Democratic Alliance leader, Deputy President William Ruto has come forward and told his rivals to come out and face him in campaigns and leave alone President Uhuru Kenyatta to serve Kenyans.

Ruto stated that his competitors should come out with their agendas and face him because he is their main competitor in the coming 2022 elections.

“They are competing against me and not Uhuru Kenyatta so they should leave him alone and face me. My competitors must wake up to the reality that I am their competitor. Uhuru Kenyatta is not their competitor. They should stop wasting Uhuru Kenyatta’s time,” Deputy President explained.

“They should plan for next year themselves. They should come with their candidate and political party if they will be able to agree on one. They should also come with an agenda like my bottom-up initiative.” added Ruto

“They should stop criticizing me and look for an alternative. Criticizing the ‘bottom-up’ approach will not work. They should make plans accordingly since the people are the ones who will decide next year. They should leave the comfort of their hotels and boardrooms and come here where the people are with a concrete plan,” he said.

Speaking at various stopovers during his empowerment tour of Kakamega County on Friday, Ruto said it’s not the responsibility of the President to unite individuals who have no agenda for the country.
