Hwang Dyok-hyuk, the Squid Game Director and Writer on Tuesday during the screening of a show in Los Angeles, revealed that, season two of the highly sensational series is on the works.
While admitting that the appreciation and love shown on the nine part first season was overwhelming, pressure was mounting for a second season.
“There’s been so much pressure, so much demand, and so much love,” director and writer Hwang Dong-hyuk said.
He did not give specific details on what we should expect in the second season but he mentioned that the lead actor in season one, Lee Jung-Jae will play an equally important role in the upcoming season.
Gi-hun will definitely be back in this new season but in the creator’s words, it is still too soon to know how and when this will happen.
