On the other hand, the documented rallies that Raila made total to 19. However, trendstv.co.ke noted that some of the rallies are not posted on social media.

DP Ruto has also held several events in his official residence in Karen rallying political and religious leaders through the month of October.

His latest visit has been in Makueni county where he promised the locals a lot of goodies. It is at the same county where he promised sex workers one million shillings should they form a Sacco.

The rallies held in other counties are; Murang’a (1, October 2) Mombasa (12, between 14th and 20th October) and Kakamega (9, October 23) .

Yesterday, DP Ruto’s camp gained more supporters from Kirinyaga county with the Governor, Ann Waiguru also decamping to Ruto’s side. He was officially unveiled as a member of the UDA party at the Karen residence where he was accompanied by 25 MCAs from the region.

Speaking at the event Waiguru noted that his supporters made her join the camp as they suggested she joins Ruto. She also reiterated that to grow in politics, leaders need to understand what the supporters want.

“I have asked if it is betrayal if I moved? But the message I have gotten is that you must be careful to stay relevant in politics. The people are the ones who decide for you. When they decide you stand, you will do it. And the people of Kirinyaga have spoken,” she noted.
