ANN WAIGURU: I Have No Enough Funds to run for the Presidential seat come 2022

Kirinyaga county governor Ann Waiguru said she will not vie for presidency come 2022 because she lacks enough fund to support the campaign because according to her it will require Ksh 5 billion to run the full successfully campaign.

“I am not standing for the presidency because I don’t have Ksh.5 billion. You know you need time and I don’t want to waste people’s time,” Waiguru said.

“People say they want to run for the presidency but what they really want is the deputy presidency or governor of Nairobi,” she added.

In the interview with Nation Media, Waiguru said she will vie for the high and big posts in the polls come 2027 elections.

“It will depend on what the ground is saying. I will probably give a shot at the presidency or deputy after finishing my second term as governor,” said Waiguru.
